     Spending time outdoors observing the ever changing contrasts of light, texture and color challenges me to recreate the wonders I perceive. Dark trees against new fallen snow, the sun illuminating layers of bright green leaves in a dense forest, or a deep blue sky behind fiery fall leaves are images that have inspired my painting.

     To create depth in my work I build up layers using a variety of mediums including acrylic paints, fiber papers and colored pencils. Working with these mediums allows me to use their unique properties to create varied texture, surfaces and colors.  

  

     I offer art classes for all ages in my studio in Clifton Park, NY.
